We improved the followings for smart targeting.

  • Change the default settings for smart targeting
    We changed the default settings for smart targeting to “Use” when creating a new ad group.
    Tools: Campaign Management Tool
    Campaign goal: Conversion, app promotion
    Notes: The settings of existing ad groups won’t change.
  • Add recommended bid strategies
  •  We added the following bid strategies recommended to use smart targeting.
    • Maximize conversion value (with target value)
    • Maximize conversion value (without target value)

Changes made in January 2025

  • Change targeting specifications
    You can use audience list data for learning and ad delivery when using audience list "site visitors" and "app users" for ad groups that use smart targeting. You can expect an increase in ad effectiveness with this improvement.
    With this improvement there was a change in recommended managements when using smart targeting.
    There is no change in specifications but we updated the feature description in the document for a better understanding of the smart targeting feature. *See the following document for details.

    Because we confirmed a certain level of delivery accuracy through the accuracy improvements we made, we have removed the following recommended conditions of use.
