Summary

For Display Ads and Search Ads (Shopping), when connecting a business manager and an ad account, it will become possible to choose whether to transfer the issuance and management of tracking tags to the business manager or to perform them in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Campaign Management Tool.

Since tracking tags can continue to be issued and managed in each ad account, flexible tracking tag operations are possible while coordinating with business manager–supported services such as LINE Official Accounts.

This change has been made in response to requests from customers. The changes for each advertising service are as follows.

Display Ads
  • Before the implementation date
    After connecting the account with the business manager, tracking tags can only be issued and managed in the business manager
  • On and after the implementation date
    When connecting the account with the business manager, it is possible to choose whether to issue and manage tracking tags in the business manager or in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Campaign Management Tool
Search Ads (Shopping)
  • Before the implementation date
    Connecting the account with the business manager is required to issue and manage tracking tags
  • On and after the implementation date
    Tracking tags can be issued and managed on the Search Ads (Shopping) side even without connecting to the business manager
    Also, when connecting the account with the business manager, it is possible to choose whether to issue and manage tracking tags in the business manager or in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Campaign Management Tool
Notes

If the account connection with the business manager has been completed and the issuance and management of tracking tags have already been transferred, in principle it cannot be reverted to issuance and management on the ad account side.
