LY Corporation will expand the availability of the tracking tags previously offered in Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads. We will implement the following:
- Adding features for generating and managing tracking tags in verified Business Manager
- Starting to offer tracking tags for LINE Official Accounts
With this update, Display Ads accounts connected to Business Manager will be able to generate and manage tracking tags in Business Manager.
You will also be able to use the same tracking tag across Display Ads accounts and LINE Official Accounts connected to the same Business Manager.
You can expect improved management efficiency when you use both Display Ads and LINE Official Accounts.
Previously, each Display Ads account used a single tracking tag at the account level. With this update, you will be able to consolidate tracking tags into one within your company and use it across both Display Ads accounts and LINE Official Accounts, allowing you to achieve cross-service data accumulation and utilization.
We also plan to expand this feature to additional business solutions offered by LY Corporation.
Consider updating your management approach to support company-wide tag management in the future.

When a Display Ads account is connected to Business Manager, the existing tracking tag generated in Display Ads will be automatically migrated from the Campaign Management Tool to Business Manager.
Notes on tracking tag migration- After the tag migrates, you will only be able to perform the following actions in Business Manager:
- Generating new tracking tags
- Updating advanced matching settings
- Issuing access tokens for Conversion API
- You can view tracking tags and check event delivery history in both Business Manager and the Campaign Management Tool. Tracking tags issued in Business Manager are also available in the Campaign Management Tool.
- The tag content will not change after the migration, so you do not need to replace any tag already placed on your website. Placed tags will also be available for LINE Official Accounts.
- If you already use gain-friends ads and are connected to Business Manager with a tracking tag generated, your tag will automatically migrate to Business Manager within 1–2 business days after the release.
If your Display Ads account is not connected to Business Manager, no changes will occur in the tracking tag features available in the Campaign Management Tool. You can continue generating and managing tracking tags in the Campaign Management Tool.
However, based on the updates described in “Future management of tracking tags,” we recommend connecting to Business Manager as early as possible.
