Summary
We launched the followings for Shopping Search Ads (SSA) of Search Ads (Shopping).

  • Ad delivery to PC and tablet
    Ad delivery to PCs and tablets in addition to smartphones became available. SSAs are delivered to all devices (terminals). You can expect to see an improvement in ad effectiveness.
  • Device targeting
    We will support device targeting on a campaign basis in SSA. You can make bid adjustments per device. You can deliver ads to selected devices based on product characteristics.

Notes
  • Campaigns that have already been created will have device targeting that is only valid for smartphones. Review your campaign settings after launch and consider adding device targeting for PCs and tablets.
  • Search Ads (Shopping) is only available to select customers. You are also required to start using the product showcase to start SSA. Refer to the following for details.
