Summary
You will be able to select which conversions to use to optimize the bid strategy at the campaign level in Search Ads. We will offer a “Conversion group” that allows multiple conversions to be combined and add a “Conversion source” item that is assigned to each conversion setting.
With this feature, you can optimize autobidding learning only with conversions that match your campaign goals, which can improve your ad effectiveness.

How to select conversions
There are two ways to select which conversions to use for optimization:
(1) Specify the "Conversion source" and "Conversion tracking purpose" of the conversion to be used
The “Conversion source” is a new item added to the conversion setting that allows the system to determine whether conversions occur in the "Website," "App," or "Phone call." By specifying the conversions for each campaign in “Conversion source” and “Conversion tracking purpose,” only those conversions that meet the conditions will be used for optimization.

(2) Create a "Conversion group" and set it up for the campaign
You can create the "Conversion group" in advance and set it as conversions for each campaign. Conversion groups can combine any conversion settings, allowing for flexibility regardless of the source or purpose of the conversion.

Changing the way "Conversions" are counted
When you select conversions for optimization at the campaign level, the “Conversions” of the performance data and performance reports in the Campaign Management Tool will only include values for the selected conversion settings.

Notes
When selecting conversions to use at the campaign level, fewer conversions will be used to optimize bid strategies, which may result in learning not progressing as expected. We recommend using it in campaigns where you can expect constant conversions.
