Summary
We will offer a feature to share the daily budget between Search Ads campaigns. Additionally, a "Shared budget report" will be available.
Shared budgets
You can assign one budget to multiple campaigns within the same account. By sharing budgets across campaigns, you can improve budgeting and increase your chances of ad delivery.
Advantages
・ Efficient budget management
When you have two campaigns-one that doesn't use up its daily budget and the other that is underfunded, the shared budget will automatically assign an excess budget to the underfunded campaign. You can optimize your budget with less effort. You don't need to review your budget spending and make manual adjustments.
・ Increase chances of ad delivery
If some campaigns have lost their opportunity to deliver ads due to low budgets, you can deliver ads using the shared budgets of other campaigns. Shared budgets prevent lost opportunities and can deliver more ads.
Shared budget report
Shared budget reports show cumulative costs, impressions, and clicks for each shared budget. You can track budget spent and ads delivered on a shared budget basis.
Remarks
・ You can’t control the budget allocation for each campaign. One campaign may take up most of the shared daily budget, while other campaigns may deliver fewer ads than expected.
・ A spike in searches or other factors can cause a significant increase in ad clicks, resulting in costs that far exceed the amount specified for the shared budget. In such cases, the charging limit is 200% of the shared daily budget, the same as the campaign's daily budget. Only the "monthly charging limit" will be charged. The calculation of the monthly charging limit is the same as the campaign's daily budget. Learn more
