Ending Ad Customizer using Data Assignment List
Overview
We will end the data assignment list for Ad Customizer that can be used for Extended Text Ads and Dynamic Ads for Search.

We closed by adding new ads for the ad customizer using a data assignment list for all ads including Dynamic Ads for Search. We also closed the following features for the data assignment list on the same day.

Ad delivery using a data assignment list will no longer be available.
When a default text is set for ads, you can deliver ads. You can’t deliver ads when the default text for ads is not set.
Remarks
When you are using the ad customizer for Extended Text Ads, use the ad customizer with attributes for Responsive Ads for Search.

Adding features on Responsive Ads for Search

Overview
We have added the following features on Responsive Ads for Search.
Ad Customizer
“Ad Customizer” is a feature that will automatically feed designated data such as a text string or a fixed value into the title or description of the ad. The usage is different from Ad Customizer feature for Extended text ads. Check the following for how to use it and the differences.
■How to use
(1) Create attributes
Define the attribution names and types to add to your ads. Any name can be set for the attribute name. Select an attribution type from “Text,” “Price,” “Rate,” and “Value.”
(2) Attribution values
Select the attributes to be applied for each campaign, ad group, and keyword, set the character string and numerical value (attribute value) to be inserted in the ad.
(3) Insertion ads
Add the insertion ads by entering in the format of "{CUSTOMIZER. Attribute name: default text}" to the designated part in the asset (title, description).
* Campaign Editor supports the setting of Ad Customizer attribution and attribution values. Campaign Management Tool will not support this feature.
■Differences
・The data assignment list of Extended Text Ads does not support the Ad Customizer for Responsive Ads for Search. For Responsive Ads for Search, after creating the ad customizer attributions, specify the character string or numerical value to be inserted by setting the attribute value for the campaign, ad group, or keyword to be applied.
・If you want the countdown to be displayed according to the date and time in your ads, you cannot insert it by Ad Customizer. You need to enter the COUNTDOWN function to the asset (title, description) directly in the format of {COUNTDOWN(yyyy-mm-ddhh:mm:ss,start date)} to insert to your ads.
Reports by asset:
The following indexes will become available by each asset (title, description).
・Impressions
・Performance rating
You will be able to check these indexes on performance reports and asset details view on the Campaign Management Tool.
■Performance rating:
This is an index that evaluates assets relative to each other in one ad. The evaluation is described as “best,” “good,” and “low.”
■Note
The ad with the target asset needs 5,000 or more impressions in about 30 days to show the evaluation.
